Overview

Position Summary


The Financial Systems Application Lead is responsible for the administration and optimization of the organization’s financial business application systems. This role partners closely with Accounting, IT, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure that financial applications are reliable, scalable, well governed, and aligned with business needs. The Lead oversees application enhancements, data integrity, integrations, and end user support while driving continuous improvement across financial processes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

System Ownership & Administration
•    Serve as an owner of the organization’s financial applications (e.g., OneStream, reporting platforms).
•    Maintain system configurations, dashboards, reporting, security roles, workflows, and user access in alignment with internal controls and audit requirements.
•    Oversee system performance, availability, and ongoing maintenance.

 

Enhancements & Optimization
•    Lead evaluation, design, testing, and deployment of system enhancements, new modules, and upgrades.
•    Drive process automation and standardization across the finance application landscape.
•    Develop and maintain system documentation, data dictionaries, and process flows.

 

Cross Functional Leadership
•    Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, and Financial Shared services, to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
•    Engage with vendors on issue resolution and support cases.
•    Coordinate with IT on integrations, infrastructure requirements, and cybersecurity alignment.

 

Project Management
•    Ensure projects meet scope, timeline, budget, and control requirements.
•    Champion best practice governance, testing protocols, and change management processes.

 

Support, Training & Governance
•    Provide tier 2/3 support for finance system issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
•    Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and oversee onboarding of new users.
•    Establish and enforce data governance standards, controls, and quality assurance routines.

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

Required
•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
•    3-5 years of experience administering or leading financial systems (OneStream or similar platforms).
•    Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes (Consolidation processes)
•    Demonstrated experience managing system configurations, integrations, and enhancements.
•    Excellent problem solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Preferred
•    Experience with financial system platforms (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion).
•    Experience with SOX compliant environments and financial controls.
•    OneStream Administration Certified.
•    Ability to design and maintain scalable dashboards, business rules, data models and reporting structures
•    Proficiency in VB.Net and SQL.
