Overview

Stagwell is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Investment & Strategy team. The Analyst will support new investment execution, M&A diligence, and internal strategic consulting across the network.

0–1 years of investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience preferred; relevant coursework or internship experience in finance, accounting, or economics will also be considered. Please note this position is for immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and stress-test financial models (three-statement, DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and accretion/dilution) to evaluate potential investments and acquisitions

  • Perform financial analysis including metric benchmarking, capital structure analysis, and valuation of target companies

  • Gather and synthesize financial and operating information about companies and industries to support Investment Committee decision-making

  • Prepare investment memoranda, pitch materials, and recommendations for presentation to the Investment Committee

  • Lead day-to-day diligence workstreams across financial, legal, and operational areas for M&A transactions and internal restructuring

  • Review and help negotiate transaction documents, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other legal materials, in coordination with outside counsel

  • Source, screen, and track new investment opportunities across the marketing and communications landscape

  • Conduct primary market, industry, and competitor research to inform deal theses and broader network strategy

  • Maintain and update data room materials and internal deal databases leveraged by senior leadership and deal teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative field, from a strong academic program

  • 0–1 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related analytical role; strong academic finance/accounting coursework considered in lieu of full-time experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort building financial models from scratch under tight timelines

  • Working knowledge of deal structures, valuation methodologies, and basic corporate legal documents

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders

  • Highly detail-oriented and structured, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, minimal-supervision environment

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of total compensation for this role is $85,000–95,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.

In addition to medical, dental and vision coverage, we offer a generous PTO plan, 401k program, comprehensive family planning benefits (including paid parental leave), tuition reimbursement, and pre-tax commuter benefits. Benefits/perks may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Stagwell and the location where you work.
